New Award Created in Honor of 简·洛克哈99499威尼斯信誉

简·洛克哈99499威尼斯信誉, a woman who for nearly 50 years has served the students of Foxcroft School with dedication, 爱, and steadfast candor, became the first recipient of an award named in her honor at Friday's Awards Assembly.

Head of School Mary Louise Leipheimer surprised 简 at the annual Awards Assembly held on the eve of Commencement by announcing the establishment of the 简·洛克哈99499威尼斯信誉 Service Award. The honor will be granted annually to a staff or faculty member. It includes a $2,000 honorarium.

“This award recognizes that in a school where ‘everything we do is curriculum,’ an adult’s concern for, 承诺, and understanding of all students -- the emphasis on “all” -- is paramount,” said Leipheimer. “This endowed award has been established by the many students and their parents who have been enriched by [简’s] dedication to the young women of Foxcroft School.”

简, who has lived her entire life in Middleburg -- the last 46 of them at Foxcroft -- was stunned and delighted by the honor. “I was totally surprised and truly honored,简说。, whose family surprised her by being present for the announcement. “I think it’s so wonderful to know that even after you are gone, your name will be remembered. That’s really something.”

简 started working at Foxcroft in 1966 as an assistant in the Business Office and held several positions before joining the Office of Student Life, where she oversees student activities, supports Assistant Head of School Sheila McKibbin, and generally serves as a hub of the school community. From the very start, 虽然, 简, as she is universally known, has been the “go-to” person for students and staff alike.

“Decades of students have found her no matter what office she is in,” said Leipheimer, who came to Foxcroft shortly after 简. “And they have 爱d, 欣赏, and respected her because she combines her unconditional 爱 for them with her direct straight shooting. 女孩, 即使是成年人, may not always like what she says, but all of them know that she means what she says and that she is most often ‘right on target.’ ”
